Welcome to my blog!
Welcome to LivingAwry
Welcome and thanks for stopping by. I am Summer, the person behind LivingAwry Studios. This is the very first post on the blog, and I am so excited to start sharing recipes, tips, tests, and little kitchen wins with you.
Short version
- This blog will be a collection of real, tested home recipes.
- Every recipe is formatted so it can be imported cleanly into my app, Dishova.
- Expect clear instructions, helpful photos, and notes for substitutions and accessibility.
What you will find here
- Tested weeknight recipes that actually work when life is busy.
- Make-ahead and freezer-friendly ideas for people with families.
- Visual steps and tips so you can cook with confidence.
- Practical posts about meal planning, shopping lists, and useful kitchen tools.
Why Dishova matters
If you are wondering what Dishova is, here is a simple explanation: Dishova is an app I designed and built for cooks who want better control over recipes, planning, and shopping. The recipes I publish on this blog will be easy to import into Dishova so you can:
- Save recipes to your personal collection.
- Add ingredients directly to a shopping list.
- Scale recipes to the number of servings you need.
I will share short import instructions with each recipe so you can add it to Dishova in a click or two.
How I write recipes here
- Clear ingredient lists with exact amounts.
- Step-by-step instructions with estimated times.
- Substitution notes for common allergies and pantry swaps.
- A short troubleshooting section when something might go wrong.
If you like, each recipe will also include a printable card version and an accessible text version.
A little about me
I cook for a real, busy household. I test recipes until they are reliable and repeatable. I like food that travels well, feeds people for days, and still tastes great reheated. I also design tools like Dishova to help streamline the cooking side of life.
How you can help
- Try the recipes and leave feedback in the comments.
- Tell me which recipes you want next.
- If you use Dishova, let me know how the import worked and what could be faster or clearer.
